The main changes in this second edition of the implementation advice are:

simplified classification of patients at high and moderate risk of infective endocarditis (see Patients at risk of infective endocarditis)
amendments to the cardiac conditions in the high risk and moderate risk groups (see Patients at risk of infective endocarditis)
amendments to the recommendations for antibiotic prophylaxis for ‘at-risk’ dental procedures (see 'At-risk' dental procedures)
amendments to the management of patients at high or moderate risk of infective endocarditis (see Management of patients at increased risk of infective endocarditis)
amendments to the recommended drug regimens for antibiotic prophylaxis (see Prescribing advice)
